What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction is sought by those who, not only satisfied with religious practices, feel that more can happen in their spiritual lives. They seek and long for a closer union with God.
Spiritual Direction is not a problem-solving situation, even though life's struggles will continually arise.
Instead, Spiritual Direction is for facilitating growth in a relationship with God, enabling people to recognise God's self-communication in their prayers and in their lives: to notice interior reactions to this self-revelation: to share reactions with God so as to respond to God more fully in their relationships with God, others, and themselves.
"There is a spiritual renaissance sweeping the world. Most people feel it some deride it, many embrace it. But no one can stop it."
- Sr. Mary Ann Scofield, RSM

Life Direction Team (LDT) is a Singapore-based group of spiritual directors with the aim of providing spiritual support and accompaniment to all who desire to find meaning beyond the moment.
People who wish to deepen their relationship with God seek spiritual direction. This is achieved through the help of people experienced in the field of spiritual direction.
It was for this purpose that the LDT was commissioned to carry out this mission of accompaniment. The LDT does this by conducting progressive spiritual direction formation programmes, retreats, and on-going spiritual direction.

I have just returned from a retreat at the Good Shepherd Oasis - refreshed and recharged by the Lord. I learn that as long as we stay still and wait on the Lord with an open heart, the Lord will speak. And as we take time to meditate on his word with our heart and mind, they get deep into our spirit and soul. His words become flesh. They transform us.
The Lord and I spoke volumes to each other during my four day stay at the Oasis – a reflection of how famished I was for the Lord and how much the Lord wants to speak to me. I jotted down the words he spoke, giving no chance for my memory to trip me. I believe the Lord would like me to share parts of our conversation with my dear brothers and sisters. The Lord wants to bless them as well.
I will entitle this part of the conversation as “TODAY”.
It was early Sunday morning. I sat comfortably on a large round rattan chair in the living room. I said, “Dear Lord, please help me to live today to the full. Let me enjoy today.”
